Hector Novas’ latest release, “Reminiscence,” invites listeners on a journey through nostalgic musical landscapes. The track opens with a loose bass vibe and ambient crowd sounds, setting the stage for a journey into jazz-infused funk with a distinct Latin American flavor.
Hector Novas, hailing from Argentina, brings a wealth of musical experience to his craft. Trained in percussion at the “Conservatorio Manuel de Falla” in Buenos Aires and later at the Østlandets Musikkonservatoriet, he furthered his studies with a master’s degree in music education from the University of Oslo in 2005. Novas has collaborated with renowned artists in Argentina, including the likes of Astor Piazzola’s vocalist, Amelita Baltar.
In addition to his work as a freelance musician, Novas has participated in numerous Rikskonsert programs and appeared on TV2’s “Skal Vi Danse.” He has been a member of various musical ensembles, including The Jazz Police and the Latin jazz project Chirica Latinjazz. His versatility extends to both classical and popular music realms, contributing his talents to a diverse range of projects.
