In the realm of country and blues, US-born songwriter Kyle T Hurley presents “The Rats Will Find You,” a vocal-led track that effortlessly weaves a tale of lyrical prowess and energetic guitar riffs.
Kyle T Hurley has been honing his craft across the pond in London, working diligently on his fourth studio album, “Kyle T. Hurley IV,” with the support of Spiritual Records. Under the guidance of Rafael Pesce, Spiritual Records has played a pivotal role in refining Kyle’s sound and artistry. In the heart of London’s Camden Town, they own a venue where Kyle and like-minded artists take the stage night after night. The album was produced and recorded by Jack Trouble, Spiritual’s in-house producer and an artist in his own right, at their very own studio.
Kyle’s music, solidly rooted in the blues, boasts stirring lead guitar licks, enchanting ballads, and memorable melodies that leave a lasting imprint on the memory. As he succinctly puts it, “This song is about where good art and music come from. It always comes from the street – the gritty scene where artists and musicians reside. No matter how much success and money is made from good art, that’s where it comes from and will never die.”
His talent has garnered recognition from various media outlets, including Celebmix, No Depression, AXS, Impose Magazine, and Vents Magazine, underscoring his ability to fuse genres and offer a contemporary twist on classic country music infused with a 90s-grunge-inspired flavor.
With deep roots in the Los Angeles music club scene, Kyle has perfected a modern approach to the classic country blues style. His self-titled debut album was recorded at the renowned Castlesound Studios in the UK, where artists like The Proclaimers, R.E.M., and Mark Knopfler have also left their mark. His second album, “KTH II,” was recorded in London and concluded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, featuring Amy Winehouse guitarist Robin Banerjee. Kyle’s unique style seamlessly blends old-school blues standards with new modern melodies and timbres.
