Peter Alexander Jobson, known for his role as the bass guitarist and keyboard player in I Am Kloot, has released his debut single “Burn The Ration Books Of Love.” This track features interesting harmonies with a string opening, building intensity with the addition of piano and emotive vocals reminiscent of Johnny Cash and Nick Cave. The arrangement includes synths, guitar arpeggios, and choral vocals, creating a complex and engaging listening experience.
“Burn The Ration Books Of Love” is the first single from Jobson’s debut solo album, set to release on November 15th. The album was recorded at Jobson’s home studio and produced by Ben Christophers. It will be available in digital formats, standard and colored vinyl, CD, and various deluxe editions.
Jobson’s music project, Special World, is characterized by his unique blend of country-flavored psychedelia and cocktail jazz, influenced by Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Scott Walker, Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams. This new album reflects Jobson’s personal experiences and observations, with a focus on the life choices he has made and their consequences.
