WellBad’s musical journey dates back to the debut album “Beautiful Disaster” in 2011, making waves in Hamburg. Subsequent releases, including “Judgement Days” (2015) and “The Rotten” (2017), garnered attention and accolades, with WellBad winning the German Blues Challenge as the best band in 2015. The German Record Critics’ Award recognized “The Rotten” in 2017, solidifying the band’s standing in the blues scene.
The live performances of WellBad have been nothing short of remarkable, from TV appearances on prime-time channels (ZDF, ARD, RTL, NDR) to sharing the stage with renowned artists like Robert Cray, Oli Brown, and Tito & Tarantula. The band even graced the prestigious Elbphilharmonie concert hall in 2018, showcasing their versatility.
International festivals in Memphis (USA), Torrita di Siena (Italy), and the Canadian Music Week in Toronto further expanded WellBad’s global footprint. The band’s success in Canada was highlighted by a memorable performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival in July 2019.
The summer of 2019 saw the release of WellBad’s studio album “HEARTBEAST – The soundtrack to a movie that’s never been shot,” adding another chapter to their evolving discography. Subsequently, the band promoted their live album “Rock Noir-Live” at WDR Rockpalast in March 2020, followed by its release in the fall of 2020.
