Zoe Boekbinder is no stranger to the music world, having collaborated with notable artists such as Ani DiFranco, Amanda Palmer, Neil Gaiman, and Mirah. However, from May 2010 to December 2014, Boekbinder took a break from performing to volunteer as a teacher at New Folsom Prison, dedicating their time to writing and reflecting on themes such as feminism, violence against women, privilege, and prison abolition.
