Arts Fishing Club’s ‘hello heartbreak’: A Bluesy Rock Journey of Emotion
Arts Fishing Club delivers a captivating sound with their latest release, “hello heartbreak.” From the moment the crunchy guitars kick in, setting the tone for what’s to come, it’s clear that this track is going to be something special. The vocals enter the scene, strong and dynamic, carrying a bluesy feel that is infused with a rock edge.
The arrangement of “hello heartbreak” is masterfully crafted, building up to memorable moments throughout the song. The band’s chemistry is palpable, creating a tight-knit musical experience that keeps listeners hooked from start to finish. The fusion of blues and rock elements creates a sonic landscape that showcases Arts Fishing Club’s distinctive style.
Christopher Kessenich, the singer-songwriter behind Arts Fishing Club, embarked on a musical journey that led him from Wisconsin to Nashville. Along the way, he completed an impressive 1,600-mile tour on foot with the folk collective The Walking Guys, solidifying his commitment to a life dedicated to music. After assembling a talented group of bandmates, including Matthew Siffert on bass, Peter Eddins on keys and sax, and Jimi Greene on lead guitar, Arts Fishing Club began planning their debut album, “Human.”
The name Arts Fishing Club holds deep personal meaning for Kessenich. Inspired by his grandfathers, both named Art, and their shared love for fishing, it symbolizes the pursuit of their art (music) with intention and passion. It serves as a constant reminder to create with love and embrace the process rather than focusing solely on achieving commercial success.
The songs on “hello heartbreak” were written over a span of four years, each delving into specific emotions and ideas that define our humanity. Arts Fishing Club aims to encourage introspection, articulate the complexities of love, and inspire people to dance. Recorded at Smoakstack Studios in Nashville, with Collin Pastore and Zach Zinck at the helm, the album showcases a range of emotions, from somber introspection to carefree summer anthems, all woven together by thought-provoking questions.
