Liverpool’s very own sensual existentialist, Brad Stank, is back with his latest single, “Natty Wine,” offering a taste of his forthcoming album, “In The Midst of You,” set to release on January 26th via his new label, Sunday Best Recordings. In “Natty Wine,” Brad Stank showcases the various charms that define his album, delivering a jazzy psychedelic vibe with a touch of twanging Americana. The song exudes warmth and vibrancy, thanks to its live instrumentation and Brad’s soulful harmonies.
“Natty Wine” has a breezy, laid-back feel, perfect for a relaxing Sunday afternoon in the sun. Brad’s signature cheeky humor shines through as he weaves a tongue-in-cheek narrative. The song was inspired by a bottle of natural wine gifted to him by a friend. While Brad humorously admits his preference for “shitty lager” like Stella or Holsten Pils at parties, he couldn’t resist writing a song about “natty wine.” The lyrics cleverly disguise the track as a love song, with lines like, “Your sweet loving just keeps dripping from the vine.”
The accompanying video for “Natty Wine” was shot in the dramatic landscapes of Birling Gap in East Sussex, featuring a cast of fantastical characters that inhabit the video’s surreal and dream-like scenes.
