Kirris Riviere and The Delta du Bruit Deliver Soulful Grooves with ‘The Delta du Bruit’

Kirris Riviere and The Delta du Bruit are back with their latest single, “The Delta du Bruit,” the title track from their self-titled debut album. Following the release of their debut single, “Left Me in the Cold (Railroad Tracks),” this new track is another original masterpiece that seamlessly blends the flavors of Louisiana blues, soulful R&B, and contemporary lyricism to create a vibrant and soul-stirring sound.

In the lyrics of “The Delta du Bruit,” the cryptic moniker refers to the musical scene of Bristol, UK, as well as its district, capturing the essence of a city in the post-pandemic era. The song’s lyrics provide a blues-soaked narrative, reminiscent of a postcard, from the heart of Easton during the album’s recording.

The track grooves with a slinky New Orleans funk rhythm, serving as a backdrop to document the city’s unique atmosphere during a period of significant change, all from the perspective of one of the band members. As with the rest of the album, the rhythm section was recorded live, with the addition of percussion and a guest performance from Henry Slim on the blues harp. Kirris Riviere’s rich and distinctive vocals tie it all together, delivering a soulful and immersive musical experience.
