“Hope For You” is a track with two parts, each inspired by love for different people. It conveys a profound sense of rejection and loss for something that never truly existed—a kind of limerence. Schreiber reflects on the song’s title as a means of holding themselves accountable to always wish happiness for those who have caused them pain. “I also do get to a more genuine place where I feel compassion for an ex-lover’s success, and that’s a nice kind of sad,” Schreiber explains.
