Nell Bryden Shares Powerful New Single I Love You So Much I’m Blind Ahead of Upcoming Album

New York-based singer-songwriter Nell Bryden has released the title track from her forthcoming album, I Love You So Much I’m Blind. Accompanied by a new video, the single continues her exploration of womanhood through a series of visual narratives. The song tells a deeply personal story about the emotional toll of infertility and the strong desire for motherhood.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Bryden explains, “I wrote this after yet another negative result from an IVF attempt. My partner and I had already named our future child, and I’d quietly started planning a nursery. The intensity of my desire to get pregnant had become a handicap. I was blinded by my resolve.” The song is marked by its raw, unpolished feel, played on a 1930s Dobro guitar to match the unfiltered emotions of the lyrics.

Produced by Isabel Gracefield at RAK Studios in London, the album is set to be released on November 8, 2024. Gracefield and Bryden collaborated to create a sound that’s different from Bryden’s previous work, incorporating acoustic instruments like dulcimer, dobro, and auto-harp, paired with strings and her long-time band. Executive producer Dave Page also contributed to the album’s distinct sonic character, bringing a layered depth to the tracks.

Bryden’s music has always resonated deeply with listeners, and I Love You So Much I’m Blind is no exception. Known for her lyrical honesty, she offers stories of love, loss, and personal struggles, allowing listeners to see themselves reflected in her music. This latest album delves into the emotional challenges of infertility and the difficult journey many women face in pursuit of motherhood. As Bryden continues to tour with a series of UK dates, her intimate style promises to connect with audiences on a deeply personal level.

Throughout her career, Bryden has maintained a significant presence on BBC Radio 2, with 25 of her singles playlisted. Her song Sirens, inspired by her first-hand experience of 9/11, was later covered by Cher. Bryden’s ability to pen intimate and emotionally powerful songs has earned her a strong following, and with her latest release, she continues to push the boundaries of her storytelling.
